# Collecting Phone Numbers with Zipchat

At the moment, **Zipchat collects phone numbers exclusively through the WhatsApp channel**. The lead generation pop-up does **not yet support phone number collection**.

To start collecting phone numbers via WhatsApp:

1. **Set up the WhatsApp channel** in Zipchat.
2. Once configured, Zipchat will **automatically capture the phone numbers** of any customers who message you via WhatsApp.
3. You can view them under **Zipchat > Contacts > Phone Numbers**.
4. If needed, you can **export the list as a CSV file** directly from that section.
